The fresh capital will fund AI trading agents, cross-chain settlement features, and broader liquidity integration.
Cancore, a platform operating on the Canton Network to bridge tokenized assets with public blockchain liquidity, has successfully closed a $7.2 million seed funding round. Investors include Paper Ventures, dao5, ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk.
Having launched on the Canton mainnet in April 2026, the project functions concurrently as both a validator and a Featured App.
As of October 1, Cancore reports handling a cumulative trading volume exceeding $53.2 million across more than 84,000 individual trades, alongside generating protocol revenue above $538,000.
The network is building out architecture meant to link Canton-native assets—such as tokenized real-world assets (RWAs)—with liquidity pools on public blockchains.
The firm characterizes its framework as a “Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance,” designed to facilitate the execution and trade of tokenized financial instruments across various blockchain ecosystems.
“Canton has built strong institutional foundations, and the next step is opening it to broader market liquidity,” said Ye Su, General Partner at ArkStream.
“Cancore is taking a practical approach, with live volume and revenue from day one. We’re pleased to back a team focused on real usage over hype.”
To execute trades between Canton and compatible public networks, Cancore relies on atomic settlement.
The enterprise states that all transactions are engineered either to complete in full or to fail entirely without leaving partial execution states.
Through Cancore’s self-custody wallet, users maintain ownership of their private keys, while swaps are configured to successfully settle on both participating chains or trigger a full refund.
Furthermore, the platform incorporates automated execution via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, empowering users to automate actions on the network and assign tasks to artificial intelligence systems.
Looking ahead, Cancore intends to broaden these functions by allowing participants to design and launch custom trading agents capable of executing strategies, rebalancing portfolios, managing capital allocation, and interfacing with liquidity.
In tandem with its development of agentic trading tools, Cancore aims to bring additional real-world assets (RWAs) and increased liquidity directly into Canton.
“Tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets onchain, but making those assets programmable is the next step,” said Wasif Rashid, co-founder and CEO of Cancore.
“We see a future where users can deploy capital across tokenized assets and use agents to execute strategies and manage positions on their behalf.”
Ultimately, the objective is to allow trading agents to engage with Canton-native assets, tokenized real-world assets, and public-chain liquidity from within a unified execution layer.
Cancore will direct the $7.2 million seed injection toward scaling its reach across new blockchain networks and liquidity outlets, while advancing its agentic trading, safety, and settlement systems.
“In traditional markets, much of the value sits with the infrastructure that moves capital between venues: clearing, settlement, prime brokerage,” said Danish Chaudhry, General Partner at Paper Ventures.
“Tokenized markets will need the same layer, and between Canton and public chains it barely exists today. Cancore is building it to the security standard institutions expect, and we think this team is well placed to define how tokenized capital moves across networks.”
This upcoming growth will expand upon Cancore’s current connectivity spanning Canton, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks, and Tron.
